Standing seam panels float — screwing anything through them causes leaks, panel damage and voided roof warranties. The SS VentSaver Standing Seam Mounting Plate Kit (Model 12-24) solves it: a clamp-on aluminum plate that lets you mount any VentSaver on a standing seam metal roof with zero penetrations, even when your vent pipe or chimney lines up with a seam.
What the SS plate does
Four universal RoofClamp RCT clamps grip the seams with cupped-tip stainless set screws — a proven posi-lock attachment that holds firm without piercing the panel. The 12" × 27" adjustable aluminum plate spans the seams with horizontal channels for seam spacing up to 24", giving you a large, adjustable surface to position the VentSaver exactly behind the pipe. A built-in ice ramp protects the base of the pipe, and the ramp can be field-cut with basic tools to fit your panel profile.

Panel compatibility
Recommended for standing seam panels 16" to 24" wide. The RCT clamps fit over 500 standing seam profiles including T-seams, bulb seams, SnapLok, single-lock, double-lock and MR-24. Please include your seam height (e.g. 1", 1.5", 2") in your order notes — or send a photo of one seam and we'll confirm fit before shipping.

Installation at a glance
- Clamp the plate across the seams just uphill of the pipe or chimney — basic hand tools only.
- Torque RCT set screws to 90 in-lbs; the cupped tips lock without penetrating the seam.
- Field-cut the ice ramp if it spans a seam mid-plate — hack saw, chop saw or grinder.
- Never use this plate as a step or tie-off point for fall protection.
