No — that's their purpose. Nylon-tipped set screws bite the seam without piercing or marring the metal, so the panel and its warranty stay intact. Torque specs ship with every clamp.

The RCT universal clamp fits roughly 95% of Canadian standing seam profiles. Bulb and T-seams need different hardware — send a photo of your seam with a quote request and we'll confirm before you order.
Can I mount a Starlink dish on a metal roof without drilling?
Yes — the SataMount standing seam model clamps to the seam with zero penetrations. On screw-down roofs, the SataMount MRM uses a gasketed bracket sealed into the structure, the same way the roof's own fasteners are.
