Canada Snow Guards · Genuine SnoBlox-Snojax
The heaviest retention we build for exposed-fastener roofs: two 1 in × 1 in galvanized SnoBar rails on every bracket, anchored through the panel into structural wood or steel purlins — not into the panel skin. Where a single screw-down bar holds the base layer, the double bar catches the upper snowfield as well, which is what a steep slope over a doorway or a high ground snow load actually needs.

Mix and match: every snow bar and rail in your cart counts toward the same quantity break.
One rail anchors the snowfield at the eave, and on a shallow residential roof that is usually enough. Push the pitch up, stretch the rafter run past 7.5 m (25 ft), or put a walkway, doorway or gas meter underneath, and the pack above a single bar gets deep enough to shear over the top of it. The second rail intercepts that upper layer — two lines of defence on every bracket, holding the snowfield for a controlled melt instead of a roof avalanche.
This is a screw-down system, so it is fastened rather than clamped — and that only works if the fastener reaches something structural. Each bracket is anchored through the flat of the panel into the purlin or deck below, with gasketed, sealed fastening at every penetration. A snow guard fixed only to the panel skin will peel the panel off before it stops a slide; this one transfers the load into the frame.
Two things decide your variant. First, your panel width: a 9″ flat takes a bracket every 18″, a 12″ flat takes one every 12″. Second, what you are screwing into — wood purlins or metal purlins — which changes the fastener that ships with the kit. Pick the combination above. If you do not know your panel width, measure flat-to-flat between two ribs and send us a photo; we will confirm it before you order.
