One anchor per worker stops making sense on a 100-foot run. The Frontline HLK1004 strings a single 22.2 kN temporary horizontal lifeline between two end anchorages so up to four workers can tie off and travel the full span — the practical setup for long metal roofs, standing seam runs and open structural steel where a crew works side by side.

Built for crews, not just one harness

  • 5/8" kernmantle rope lifeline with 22.2 kN system strength
  • Adjustable span from 15 ft up to 100 ft — one system covers short bays and full-length runs
  • Integrated aluminum and stainless steel tensioner with pulley and tension indicator for a correct, repeatable set-up
  • Four high-strength steel O-rings serve as mobile anchor points along the line
  • Two 6 ft cross-arm anchor straps included for the end anchorages
  • Swivel brass connector fights rope twist; corrosion-resistant hardware and a carry bag make it a true re-use system

The long-roof problem, solved

On a long standing seam or ribbed metal roof, individual tie-off points force constant disconnect-and-reconnect as workers move along the eave or ridge. A horizontal lifeline changes the geometry: the crew clips to the O-rings and walks the run with continuous protection. Set-up is tool-free — strap the ends, tension through the integrated pulley until the indicator confirms, and go. At tear-down the whole system packs into its bag for the next site.

Plan the system, not just the rope

A horizontal lifeline multiplies loads at its end anchors and adds line deflection to fall clearance math, so installation must be directed by a qualified person — anchor structure strength, span, user count and clearances all need checking against your provincial requirements. Pair the HLK1004 with harnesses, lanyards and anchor hardware from our fall protection collection to complete each worker's connection.
